The Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board (SNEE ICB) is offering an opportunity for the role of Pharmacy Workforce Project Lead for 2-3 days per week (dependent on capacity) for 6 months from appointment*

The role will involve working with stakeholders across the Suffolk and North East Essex (SNEE) Integrated Care System (ICS) to co-ordinate and ensure delivery of the Pharmacy Workforce Strategy and associated work plan. This will include being responsible for the delivery of projects and initiatives providing subject matter expertise to the process as well as providing support to the Pharmacy Workforce Group.

A Pharmacy qualification Experience of delivering change projects Experience of working with key stakeholders Clear understanding of Pharmacy workforce challenges Understanding of workforce transformation Understanding of project monitoring and reporting Ability to work autonomously, flexibly and manage competing priorities

Please note, due to the ongoing cost reduction programme and restructure underway at SNEE ICB (due to end in Summer 2024), prior consideration for this role may be given to existing staff who are affected by this programme and this role may be removed from the recruitment process at any time.

Main duties of the job

Work withstakeholders across the Suffolk and North East Essex (SNEE) Integrated CareSystem (ICS) to coordinate and ensure delivery of the projects and providesubject matter expertise in relevant programmes of work.

Support andlead processes and projects related to the workforceprogramme, throughout the term of the contract, including providing knowledgeand oversight to the ICS Pharmacy Workforce Strategy, ICS Pharmacy WorkforcePlanning Group and associated work plan. Working to timelines and deadlines asagreed.

Support the set up and running of the ICS Pharmacy Workforce Programme Groupincluding its administration and leading on key projects.

Support and lead on the coordination of the Pharmacy Workforce Programmeacross the ICS and partners which will include the development of the narrativeand provide the PMO support across the Pharmacy Workforce Strategy.

Support ICS partners in providing the PMO support across the PharmacyWorkforce Action Plan and update as appropriate including the development ofproject documentation and support of projects within the Pharmacy WorkforcePlan.

Job responsibilities

To develop project documentation and tosupport the implementation of specific projects within the Pharmacy WorkforceAction Plan

Knowledge of Pharmacy, health service management, including change management and workforce re-design, acquired through training and experience to Masters level equivalent. Pharmacy knowledge and relevant qualification. GPhC qualified. Professional operational service delivery and business management knowledge to degree equivalent plus further management experience or training to post graduate diploma level or equivalent. Experience of partnership working and the ability to develop sustainable relationships with key bodies and individuals. Experience in persuading stakeholders of the importance of projects including negotiating and motivating others and linking in with other initiatives. Experience in interpreting and communicating complex and sensitive facts and information about performance and change and presenting information to stakeholders. Experience of breaking down organisational barriers, managing conflicting opinions or demands to ensure appropriate outcomes for patients. Knowledge of project management. Knowledge of NHS strategy, policy, and guidance and of associated policy. Understanding of the current social and political environment.

Communication Skills

Change management and negotiation skills. Excellent communication skills including the ability to persuade, influence and motivate others. Motivational skills to encourage collaborative working to improve planning where there may be a resistance to change. Present to large groups of staff and in various forums.
