**Suffolk County Council are looking for a Libraries Project Lead to join our team based in Ipswich. You will join us on a full time or part time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £43,455 per annum (pro rata forpart time).**

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Suffolk County Council (SCC) Public Health and Communities team as a Libraries Project Lead. You will be based at our HQ in Endeavour House, Ipswich with hybrid working options including some working from home.

The role is part of the Community Infrastructure Team and supports our commitments to deliver a comprehensive Library service in the county.?

**Your role and responsibilities as a **Libraries Project Lead**:
The primary purpose of the role is to Lead on the development of the Library service in Suffolk. The role will take an active part in the procurement of the new contract, build relationships with the current provider, and actively support the council tomaximise the potential from the service.

**You will**:

- Work closely with colleagues from across Suffolk County Council to lead on commitments to ensure delivery of a comprehensive library service for Suffolk
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with the Library service senior management team and proactively respond to issues and queries regarding the service in Suffolk.
- Be available to deliver managerial and project support to other priorities across the PH&C directorate as required.

**To become ourLibraries Project Lead, you will need**:

- A track record of effective leadership, networking, negotiating, persuading and advocacy skills
- Proven project/programme management skills
- Advanced verbal and written communications skills
- Highly developed problem-solving skills, taking an evidence-led approach to service/system redesign
- Highly developed skills in monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
