  • Identify and report repairs, emergencies and security issues; carrying out light engineering repairs/tasks when highlighted;
  • Carry out routine testing Fire Alarm Testing /Emergency Light Flick Test/Legionella Flushing/ladder checks etc.;
  • Oversee the cleaning company employees, report issues;laundry contract management;
  • Ensure waste management removal is effected on time;
  • Maintain existing systems, door access, fire control, issuing door access cards;
  • Oversee and induct onsite Contractors PTW/RAMS;
  • Ad hoc duties and requests;
  • To take telephone calls from potential customers/public;
  • Manage the company refreshments supplies/and meeting room refreshments;
  • Control of Visitor Management /Ordering stationery/office supplies;
  • Manage front door intercom;
  • Arrange company monthly events;
  • Arrange Royal Mail special collection/post;
  • Any other office administration duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Requirements

  • Due to the nature of the role must live within 30 minutes commute of site;
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities;
  • Basic engineering skills (drilling / vice work / maintenance);
  • Customer service experience;
  • Experience working in an office / facilities environment;
  • Computer literate;
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in relevant lab environment;
  • Willingness to be on call when required.
