The project: 
Our client is the largest UK water-only supplier, providing on average 950 million litres of water each day to a population of more than 3.89 million people in the wider North London area and beyond. Their purpose is to deliver a long-term sustainable supply of high-quality water, while protecting the environment for their communities, now and in the future. We currently provide the client with a range of services focussed on programme and project management and are always looking for opportunities to deliver more value through the provision of expert and experienced staff.

You’ll be responsible for:

Managing the delivery of identified capital, infrastructure or water network management (WNM) projects with the focus on budget, schedule and quality output.

Managing directly, and in certain circumstances liaise with others in the management of and engagement with a set of stakeholders, etc.to ensure project timescales are met.

Procuring (where appropriate), manage and direct a diverse range of consultant expertise across a multidisciplinary set of skills.

Overseeing the management of construction project design, estimation and project planning and delivery including all relevant statutory processes, procurement management and maintenance forecasting, working closely with all departments including asset management, asset operations, HSQE, communications and customer operations.

Being accountable for the management of project control, including resourcing and service delivery requirements, ensuring consultant supervision were relevant and approving all payment certificates.

Reviewing contractors’ costs submissions and advising the SPM for signoff.

Providing the day-to-day management of construction service providers for capital projects, including conformance and compliance.

Supervising the project closeout activities, including commissioning and handover to operations and maintenance, and preparation and submission of HS2 specific documentation.

Providing input into the on-going development of new templates, documents, systems and processes for project/programme management to incorporate lessons learned and efficiencies.

You’ll need to have:

A degree qualification in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil engineering and related project management discipline such as APM or working towards APM accreditation. 

Knowledge of NEC suite of contracts and CDM 2015

To work seconded to our client in the South. 

Water sector experience preferred or within a regulated industry with at least 5+ yrs project management experience.

Full UK Driving Licence.
