Job Description: As a Behaviour Specialist Assistant, you will work closely with our students to provide tailored support and guidance in managing their behaviour. You will collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other professionals to develop and implement behaviour intervention plans that promote positive outcomes. Your role will be instrumental in creating a safe and nurturing environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.

Start - September 2024

Expires - Friday 28th June

Hours - Usually 08.30 - 15.30

Employment Types - Both full and part time roles available.

Location - Swindon

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build positive relationships with students and provide individualised support based on their unique needs
  • Assist in the implementation of behaviour intervention plans and strategies to address challenging behaviours
  • Support students in developing social-emotional skills and coping mechanisms
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to maintain a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Collect and analyse data on student behaviour to monitor progress and inform decision-making
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting student well-being

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people in a school or educational setting
  • Strong understanding of behavioral management techniques and strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting students with behavioural challenges
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Relevant qualifications or training in behavior management or special education (desirable)



All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
