About the Role

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with learning disabilities in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to students who may be struggling with the curriculum due to their needs.
  • Work closely with teachers to adapt and tailor learning to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, colleagues, and parents/carers to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting students.
  • Use positive behaviour management techniques to encourage students to demonstrate positive attitudes and behaviours.
  • Be a positive role model for students and use school reward systems to promote positive behaviour.
Requirements
  • Calm and resilient when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Positive can-do attitude and a willingness to participate in class activities.
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic classroom environment.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and SEN.
  • Passion and commitment to supporting students with learning disabilities.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to support student learning.
