About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with behavioural challenges to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, providing individualised support based on their unique needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of behaviour intervention plans and strategies to address challenging behaviours.
  • Support students in developing social-emotional skills and coping mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to maintain a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Collect and analyse data on student behaviour to monitor progress and inform decision-making.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting student well-being.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting students with behavioural challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in behavior management or special education (desirable).
