About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Positive Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at Home Group. As a Positive Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred and strengths-based support to our customers, helping them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support customers with complex needs, including moderate learning disabilities and autism, to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.
  • Recognise and promote customers' strengths and abilities, helping them to take small steps towards independence and social inclusion.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and clinical teams to provide consistent and effective support, using the Positive Behaviour Support model.
  • Monitor customers' mental and physical health, identifying signs of deterioration and taking positive risk management to ensure their wellbeing.
  • Support customers to participate in their favourite activities and try new things, promoting independence and social inclusion.

Requirements

  • Experience in a Complex Care setting, with a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
  • Experience as a Support Worker, supporting people with complex needs and behaviours of distress.
  • A patient and calm approach, with the ability to adapt to individual needs and circumstances.
  • Experience of positive risk management and a commitment to customer safety and wellbeing.
