Behaviour Support Mentor

Protocol Education is seeking a Behaviour Support Mentor to join our team. As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you will be working with young people with learning disabilities, providing support and guidance to help them overcome their challenges and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to students who may be struggling with the curriculum due to their needs.
- Help to adapt and tailor learning from the class teacher for students so that they can feel and be successful.
- Communicate effectively with staff, colleagues, and parents/carers via email or phone when necessary.
- Be a positive role model for students and use the school's reward system fairly to encourage positive attitudes and behaviours.
- Use classroom behaviour management skills to help students demonstrate positive behaviour and overcome their barriers to learning.
Requirements:
- Calm and resilient when dealing with situations.
- Positive can-do attitude and a willingness to join in on class activities.
- Flexibility within the general day-to-day running of the classroom.
- Experience of working with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, SEN.
- Passion and care for children with various learning disabilities.
- A creative and 'out-the-box' mentality when facilitating learning.
