Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team at TeacherActive. This role will involve working closely with students across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4, supporting students' individual learning needs and helping them thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students with additional needs, ensuring they are fully engaged in lessons.
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans, adapting activities to meet the emotional and behavioural needs of each child.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with students, helping them feel supported and understood.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a holistic learning environment.
  • Manage challenging behaviour with confidence, patience, and a calm approach.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), specifically Autism Spectrum Conditions and behavioural difficulties.
  • Confidence in supporting students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to working with children.
