Job summary

In this role you'll be responsible for providing administrative support to our Pathology Quality team.

As part of the Quality Team, you will be responsible for maintaining aspects of the Quality Management System, which includes the documentation system, audits, and Incidents.

You'll also help prepare documents when needed for the regulators in preparation for department assessments.

The Quality Information Administrator will provide support to the Pan-pathology quality manager and the Quality team to ensure that the quality of service is enhanced'.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is required to provide comprehensive, administrative to the Pan-pathology Quality manager and Quality team using a variety of systems associated with the Laboratory Information System.

This will involve accurate inputting and extracting data skills and the ability to perform, charts, graphs, handling enquiries and problem solving, monitoring trends, along working to stringent policies and standards.

The Post holder will assist in training such as Audit training and Q-Pulse module (including Document, Incident (CA/PA) , etc.) training to staff within departments of the Pathology department. Provide training and demonstrate office systems to colleagues and trains new starters as required.

The Quality information Administrator will need excellent knowledge and skills of such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Able to demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to work as an individual and plan, prioritize own workload, as well as being part of a team.

The Quality Information Administrator will provide support to the Pan-pathology quality manager and the Quality team to ensure that the quality of service is enhanced. It will include liaising with departmental quality leads and others in the support of internal audit activity and maintenance of document control systems and Q-Pulse using the computer databases.

You are required to provide comprehensive, administrative skills to the Pan-pathology Quality manager and Quality team using a variety of systems associated with the Laboratory Information System.

Have a Good standard of education (see specification) with excellent knowledge and skills of applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Good communication skills and enjoy training. Responsibility for handling telephone and other communications with sensitivity and confidentiality using personal judgement to assess each situation and to deal with accordingly

The post holder will be required to develop and maintain effective communication and working relationships within the division and the Trust

It is a requirement of the post that information is communicated in a consistent manner in line with Trust and Pathology legislation, policies and procedures

Qualifications and training

Essential

oMinimum NVQ Business /Admin level 3 or A levels or Higher apprenticeship award in Business admin or similar or min 2 years equivalent relevant experience oDemonstrable knowledge of auditing processes oDemonstrable competency of data collection and analysis oGood level of literacy and numeracy oExcellent knowledge and skills of IT applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint oProven extensive administrative experience oAccurate Data input skills and ability to perform charts, graphs; statistical formulas etc. and maintain computer systems, computer hardware oAbility to perform delicate work to a high standard
