Communication and working relationships Communicate complex data quality issues using non-technical language via telephone or face to face with employees from across the organisation Provide advice, guidance, and training to a range of staff in order to avoid future data quality issues To liaise with other project and programme teams from across the Trust to minimise and resolve data quality issues The post holder will be expected to communicate with Internal staff from across Acute, Community and Social Care departments including clinical and administration staff, Planning and organisation Ensure all data quality issues are resolved within agreed timeframes and within outlined project/programme plans Effectively prioritise and organise own workload to ensure all data quality issues are resolved in a timely manner Analytical and judgement Analysis of data quality issues to identify areas of poor data entry, informing users of the correct procedures Contribute to the merging of duplicate records through the analysis of Health Records to determine uniqueness Ability to analyse data across several systems is essential for complex problem solving Responsibility and accountability Able to work with minimum supervision, referring to standard operating procedures and data quality policies Raises more complex data quality issues to supervisor or Line Manager for further advice and guidance Responsibility for patients and client care Patient contact is incidental Policy and service responsibility Proposes and implements new policies and procedures in own work area to reduce Data Quality Issues Responsibility for finance, equipment, and other resources Responsible for the care of equipment and resources used during the course of their work Responsibility for supervision, leadership, and management Provide regular systems training to end users from a range of disciplines to ensure data quality issues are not repeated Provide training to new or less experienced staff within own work area Information technology and administrative duties Proactively improve areas of poor data quality within legacy systems to support the successful data migration to the new Epic EPR Responsible for accurate processing of patient demographic data from the merging of duplicate patient records which would have been inputted by other system users Use various systems to design, generate and create data quality reports to be shared with the EPR Programme Team Be considered an expert user of systems including IHCS/PAS and Epic and be willing to constantly develop their knowledge Responsibility for research and development Audits own area of work as necessary to suggest improvements to existing policies and procedures
