Job summary

We are looking to recruit up to Speech and Language Therapists to join our growing, friendly and supportive Schools Team to embark on a new exciting adventure rolling out the Balanced System to ourmainstream primary and secondary schools across North West are permanent posts funded through development money to establish a Link Therapy Team model. Youwill be joining us at an exciting time and will work alongside experienced Speech and Language Therapists,Education Specialists and SLT assistants to deliver universal, targeted and specialist support to schools andchildren with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).We offer a strong support network including good access to CPD and will consider full-time, part-time and term-time only posts. We would also consider this post to be suitable as a 'development post' opportunity for a suitably experienced Band 5 therapist.

Main duties of the job

To be part of a Link Therapy Team delivering the principles of Balanced System to a cohort of primary &secondary jointly manage a caseload of schools/children as part of the Link Therapy deliver evidence-based SLT advice, training and interventions for schools and assess, plan and implement universal, targeted and specialist SLT interventions that support children with arange of speech, language and communication develop integrated care plans in partnership with the school, child, young person and / or familyrecommending and supporting interventions that are appropriate at a universal, targeted and specialist participate in clinical supervision and access on-going CPD to deliver a safe and effective service to actively work as a member of a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams to provide high quality advice,training and interventions to schools, children and young people and their parents/carers in line with our carepathways and the Balanced System.

Minimum of 2 years' experience in area of practice Practical experience in managing complex caseloads

Experience of leading and managing teams Experience with the use of Microsoft Office and a variety of IT packages (Easy-Pay / E-roster/ TAPs/ RIO)
