About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to join our Speech and Language Therapy team as an Assistant. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to support patients in regaining their communication skills and swallowing abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of therapy sessions to patients with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Help with early assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Support patients in learning alternative communication methods, such as gesture or drawing
  • Contribute to the creation of therapy resources and materials
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including data input and group management

Requirements

  • Level 3 NVQ qualification or equivalent
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly in a team environment
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable
