About the Role

At Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our multi-disciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to support patients in their recovery journey, helping them regain communication skills and independence.

Key Responsibilities

As a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with Speech and Language Therapists to deliver therapy sessions, supporting patients with a range of communication difficulties. Your duties will include assisting with assessments, implementing therapy plans, and providing support to patients and their families.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable, but not essential. You will need to be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities, as well as possess a genuine interest in supporting individuals with communication difficulties.
