Job Description
Position Summary:
The Key Account manager will be a trusted partner to our core customers and build multi-level relationships with the key stakeholders. They will approach these relationships with the mutual goal of achieving above-market growth by leveraging our unique differentiated products, brand position, and powerful business model. Utilising this portfolio and an autonomous, growth orientated mindset, this team member will become an instrumental conduit with key industry partners to help ITW Offsite Segment exceed its growth revenue targets, and also contribute to its innovation insights for future success.
The Key Account Manager will work closely with commercial management, marketing department, and other core internal functions to ensure that all activities, business practices and account management principles align with and complement our 80/20 front to back business strategy.
This role requires travel across the UK with a big focus on Scotland and Northern England, so candidates must be happy to travel.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver top-line revenue targets by leveraging our unique multi-brand offsite solution, whilst strategically protecting the profitability of the business. Foster effective relationships with all relevant stakeholders (internal and external). Act as a conduit for our business to interact at every level with these accounts to ensure that we are a built-in supplier and partner to their businesses. To pro-actively seek new market opportunities to grow ITW’s business. Utilise an entrepreneurial and aggressive growth mindset, to accelerate and execute data-driven opportunities for new business and product basket expansions. Learn and deliver our Value Propositions on products, software and brand, utilising our extensive differentiation to drive best in class margins and positions. To identify and feedback customer pain points for new product innovation pipeline, contributing insights from customers and working with Product teams to drive longer-term projects forward via our customers. Pro-actively work with other departments to ensure we are delivering the very best customer service to our most important accounts. To always embody the ITW core principles of Integrity, Simplicity, Trust, Respect, Shared Risk acting as true ambassadors for all Offsite brands.
Qualifications
The Person
Evidence of strategic Key Account Management within current or previous positions A proven record in growing sales and profitability. Proven ability to network and build strong professional relationships Ability to deliver results Ability to say “no” and drive simplicity in the business Collaborative in nature and able to achieve goals through influence not force Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong presentations skills Good computer skills with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Strong commercial business acumen Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment Ideal, but not essential knowledge and experience of the Roof, Floor and Timber Frame industry in the UK
