You will manage the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives. 

You will support the long-term success of planning performance for specified engines/sectors/hubs, and the overall contribution to the broader company goals. 

You will support the planning function in ensuring projects and tenders are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored. 

Develops detailed plans taking full cognisance of logistics/site/project constraints.

Interfaces with project team, contributing to the production of the weekly progress report to the project team and understand functional obligations under form of contract.

Reviews and captures productivity to measure progress.

Communicates effectively with the client, project team and stakeholders.

Incorporates sustainable design and procurement process within integrated programmes.

Ensures health and safety through programme integration.

Establishes and oversees project work plan and deadlines.

Undertakes tasks required to full fill the requirements of the project/assignment.

Responsible for coordinating activities for team. 

Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You will develop and maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with the client and other project stakeholders, both internal and external. 

You’ll need to have: 

Established experience in built environment and with projects.

Understands different procurement routes and types and forms of contract.

Basic understanding Of Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) stages.

Able to respond to all client/stakeholder requests effectively and sensitively.

Communicate & present to project team on programme drivers, goals & issues, etc.

Listens effectively and probes for new and diverse ideas.

Working towards professional qualification (e.g. CIOB, APM, PMI).

Other relevant qualifications specific to local requirements.

You’ll also have:

Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.

Extensive experience in the successful planning of projects and programmes in the consult sector. 

Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.

Strong commercial and financial acumen.

Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.

Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.

Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.

Understanding of contract administration.

Exposure to the principles or use of different types of contracts.

Effective decision-making skills.

Ability to challenge constructively.

Management skills. 

Relevant degree in the built environment, business/management studies, etc.., or NVQ level 3.
