This post is fixed term for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job

We have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Senior People Services Advisor. The successful candidate will be part of our Employment Relations Team. The key emphasis of our Employment Relations Team is advising and supporting managers with Disciplinary Investigation cases, Respect & Resolution and Capability across the Health Board and continuously embedding a just culture approach to our approach. The Senior People Services Advisor will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of Disciplinary Investigations, Respect & Resolution and Capability. The work environment is a fast paced, where attention to detail is essential and ability to make autonomous decision making is required. The role will involve liaising and representing the Health Board with external agencies such as Police, Local Authority and Counter Fraud. Although the role initially is supporting the ER team the Senior People Services Advisor will be expected to work in all aspects of HR. The post holder will be proactive and will have a person-centred approach in all that they do.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential

CIPD member or equivalent experience and evidence of continuing professional development and acquiring new skills/knowledge Postgraduate Diploma or equivalent experience.

Exprience

Essential

Undertaking a generalist Human Resources role Working with Human Resources Policies and Procedures Delivery of Human Resources Policy Training Sessions Undertaking /coaching disciplinary investigations Dealing with complex ER issues Managing a change process Experience of Sickness management to appeal stage

Desirable

Managing and leading a team Report writing Information Management and Technology experience, with proficiency in IT software such as Excel, Word PowerPoint

Skills and Knowledge
