We are looking for an experienced and passionateRegistered Manager for our Children's Home located inPreston. The ideal candidate will have a strong background insupervising care services particularly in residential childcare andpossess exceptional leadership skills to manage a teameffectively.

Joboverview

  • Develop andimplement care plans in line with Ofsted regulatorystandards.
  • Have a strong knowledge ofSafeguarding Children and Young People.
  • Supervise and lead a team of care staff to ensurehighquality service delivery.
  • Manage thedaytoday operations of the home including staffing budgeting andoverseeing training needs.
  • Skills to audit andmonitor records as well as writing detailed reports whenrequired
  • Oversee compliance with health andsafety regulations and best practices in children'sresidential care.
  • Maintain effectivecommunication with young people families andprofessionals.
  • Ensure the provision ofpersoncentred care that meets young people's individualneeds.

Essentialexperience

  • Provenexperience in deputising or managing a children's home fora minimum of 2 years.
  • Strong background inresidential childcare and knowledge of best practices andlegislation.
  • Excellent leadership abilities tomotivate and support staff.
  • Familiarity withdeveloping and implementing children's relevant plans inaccordance with the Children's Homes Regulations andQuality Standards 2015.
  • Previous experienceworking with children and young people in a children'shome.

Qualifications

  • Level 5 Diploma in leadership and management of aresidential childcare setting or equivalent
  • Atleast 2 years within a management role supporting children in aresidential home
