Residential Children's Home Manager

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our Children's Home in Preston. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in residential childcare and possess exceptional leadership skills to manage a team effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that align with Ofsted regulatory standards, ensuring each child's unique needs are met.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Safeguarding Children and Young People policies and procedures, prioritizing their safety and well-being.
  • Provide guidance and support to a team of dedicated care staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, including staffing schedules, budget management, and ensuring ongoing training needs are met.
  • Conduct regular audits and monitor records meticulously, preparing detailed reports as required.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and best practices within a children's residential care setting.
  • Maintain open communication channels with young people, their families, and relevant professionals, building strong relationships based on trust and collaboration.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in deputising or managing a children's home for a minimum of 2 years.
  • A solid background in residential childcare, with a thorough understanding of best practices and relevant legislation.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities to motivate, inspire, and support staff effectively.
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing children's care plans in accordance with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015.
  • Previous experience working directly with children and young people within a residential home setting.

Level 5 Diploma in leadership and management of a residential childcare setting or equivalent is required.
