Residential Children's Home ManagerWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our Children's Home in Preston. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in supervising care services, particularly in residential childcare, and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills to effectively manage a team.
Job Overview- Develop and implement individualized care plans that align with Ofsted regulatory standards, ensuring the well-being and development of each child placed in our care.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Safeguarding Children and Young People principles and practices, prioritizing their safety and protection at all times.
- Provide effective leadership and supervision to a team of dedicated care staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment that promotes high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, including staffing management, budget allocation, and ensuring ongoing training needs are met.
- Conduct thorough audits and monitoring of records, generating detailed reports as required to maintain transparency and accountability.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and best practices within a children's residential care setting.
- Cultivate strong communication channels with young people, families, and professionals involved in their care, promoting collaboration and shared understanding.
- Champion person-centered care that caters to the unique needs and aspirations of each child, empowering them to thrive and reach their full potential.
- Proven experience in deputising or managing a children's home for a minimum of 2 years, demonstrating a commitment to providing exceptional care within a residential setting.
- A comprehensive understanding of residential childcare best practices and relevant legislation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, capable of motivating and supporting staff to deliver high-quality care and create a positive work environment.
- Familiarity with developing and implementing children's plans in accordance with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015, ensuring individualized support tailored to each child's needs.
- Previous experience working directly with children and young people within a residential home setting, fostering strong relationships built on trust and respect.
- Level 5 Diploma in leadership and management of a residential childcare setting or equivalent qualification, demonstrating your expertise in managing a children's home effectively.
- At least 2 years within a management role supporting children in a residential home, showcasing your practical experience and commitment to providing exceptional care.
