SEN Teacher
Your new company
A primary school in Leamington has an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about SEN. This school has been asked by the local authority to open a SEN unit and therefore, they require a teacher from September to work full time until October half-term. This school prides itself on offering children a safe environment where the learning is exciting and the teaching inspirational.
Your new role
Your new job from September will be to work full time until October half-term in this new space. Your new role will be teaching up to 8 children. These children have found the mainstream provision unsuitable, so this school has created a safe, calm and quiet space for them to learn. You will be teaching from all areas of the national curriculum and your teaching will need to be adapted to meet the individual needs of each child linked to their EHCP. You will also be working closely with a wide range of other professionals.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will be knowledgeable of the national curriculum, but most importantly, an understanding of SEN. Expectations of behaviour are high in this school, so you must pride yourself on this being a strength and being able to communicate your expectations to the children in a clear and consistent manner. This role does come with an SEN point paid on top of £2539 and the school for the right person based on experience will pay up to UPS3.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will:
- Have guaranteed work for 8 weeks
- be working in an exciting new role that will be opening to children in September 2024
- be paid TMS - UPS + Sen point
- Accrue holiday throughout your assignment
- be supported by one point of contact
- £350 referral for every successful candidate sent to Hays after 20 days' work.
