Job summary

This is a great time to join the Quality team at Ashgate Hospice. The Quality team plays a huge supporting role to the hospice and covers a wide variety of areas, supporting our staff to make improvements in their work, monitor and improve our clinical systems, report and analyse significant amounts of patient data and ensure that patient safety and experience are paramount in all that we do. This new role will provide you with an opportunity to develop new QI knowledge and facilitation skills, working closely with the Quality Improvement Lead to deliver a comprehensive package of QI support and learning to ensure that project outcomes are delivered and support the embedding of a QI culture across all departments.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be an integral member of the Quality team, responsible for supporting the engagement, development, and implementation of quality improvement initiatives across the organisation. Working closely with the Quality Improvement Lead, they will record and monitor all Quality Improvement (QI) projects, assisting the wider team in ensuring the successful completion and smooth delivery of these initiatives across various areas. The role requires the ability to produce high-quality work under pressure, manage deadlines, and independently organize their workload. Additionally, the post holder will provide administrative and technical support to compile all quality improvements within the Hospice and assist in organising awareness weeks related to the Quality team's focus areas.To get full details on what the role includes please read the attached Job Description and call the recruiting manager for an informal chat and to arrange a visit with us.

Job responsibilities

The post holder will work as part of the Quality Team to support the engagement, development, delivery, and implementation of quality improvement across the organisation.The post holder will work with the Quality Improvement Lead, to record and monitor all QI projects. The post holder will produce work to a high standard, will be able to work under pressure, be flexible, meet agreed deadlines, and be capable of organising their own workload to contribute to a comprehensive quality improvement service across the Hospice. The role encompasses administrative and technical support to collate all quality improvements undertaken within the Hospice, as part of the Quality Team. To support the organisation of awareness weeks relevant to the Quality team.

Qualifications

Essential

Understanding of quality improvement methodologies Educated to A-Level

Desirable

Degree in any subject

Experience

Essential

Knowledge and understanding of the principles and tools of quality improvement. A willingness to undertake a QI qualification Experience of working within a health care environment.

Desirable

Experience of change management. Experience of patient and public involvement Knowledge of clinical audit
