Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Quality team at Ashgate Hospicecare, a registered charity providing compassionate, specialist palliative and end of life care to patients with a life-limiting illness and their families across North Derbyshire.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will work as part of the Quality Team to support the engagement, development, delivery, and implementation of quality improvement initiatives across the organisation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Recording and monitoring all Quality Improvement (QI) projects
  • Producing high-quality work under pressure, managing deadlines, and independently organizing their workload
  • Providing administrative and technical support to collate all quality improvements undertaken within the Hospice
  • Supporting the organisation of awareness weeks relevant to the Quality team

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Understanding of quality improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles and tools of quality improvement
  • Experience of working within a healthcare environment
  • Computer literacy MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Analytical skills
  • Report writing skills
  • Minute taking skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to influence and persuade others
