We are looking for an Apprenticeship Programme Manager to manage and oversee our early career apprenticeships, internships, placements, and pre-apprenticeship programmes from recruitment through to engagement and beyond.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build on existing relationships with schools, colleges, universities, and communities locally, regionally, and nationally concentrating on areas of structural disadvantage. In this role, you will focus on early careers opportunities (level 2 and 3 apprenticeship standards) and pathways into careers at the RSC and the theatre sector.

Reporting to Deputy Director of Creative Learning and Engagement key areas of responsibility include (please see the full job description and person specification for the comprehensive list):

  • Developing effective pathways for recruiting apprentices into the RSC, ensuring that our approach has inclusion at its heart
  • Being an advocate for early careers, apprenticeships, work experience and placements, into the theatre industry and the RSC.
  • Developing pre-apprenticeship programmes that enable people to try out different kinds of roles in theatre.
  • Building relationships with key learning and cultural sector agencies and partners ensuing our approach is informed by industry best practice.
  • Ensuring our apprenticeship levy contribution is used in the most cost-effective way.
  • Developing and building on existing relationships with FE Colleges, Schools, Universities, promoting awareness of career opportunities at the RSC and in the theatre industry.

To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following knowledge and experience:

  • Designing and managing professional learning and / or talent development programmes.
  • Supporting apprenticeship or early career level employees.
  • Ability to influence a range of stakeholders, from entry level to senior leadership.
  • Project and budget management.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • An unwavering commitment to inclusion and equity.

This position is based in Stratford-upon-Avon and the working hours are 35 per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid and flexible working options are available, and the role will involve travel to other locations for meetings.
