Responsibilities:

  • Lead the people policy development lifecyclefrom concept to implementation including engagement with ourrecognised trade unions ensuring policies are wellcommunicated andeffective
  • Work collaboratively across PeopleServices to integrate people policy initiativessmoothly
  • Develop strategies to embed andsustain people policies throughout the council fostering a cultureof understanding compliance andengagement
  • Forge strong partnerships withsenior leaders to ensure people policies reflect and support LCCsstrategic priorities
  • Engage stakeholders tofacilitate comprehensive people policy review and developmentfocusing on impactful outcomes

Qualifications:

  • MCIPD level qualification or equivalent throughrelevant training and/or workexperience
  • Project managementqualifications
  • Proven track record in leadingthe lifecycle of people policy reviews and development programmeswith successful outcomes preferably in a large complex and diverseorganisation
  • Experience as a peopleprofessional in a large and complexorganisation
