Role of the Department

Working within the Development team you will be actively involved in delivering customer projects for future powertrain. Across the department we provide consultancy services to our clients in the areas of advanced internal combustions engines, batteries, hybrid systems, low carbon fuels and more. The team is our strength, and we require exceptional engineers with an inquisitive and flexible mindset to support the wide range of projects that we deliver. Working in the role, you will gain broad technical knowledge and experience and be supported along the way by our technical specialists. It is important for us to grow our talent internally and you will be given the opportunity to progress through training, developing technical experience and know-how, and by having further responsibilities such as project and personnel management.

Duties:

Engine systems development & validation (testbed, rig & vehicle) Vehicle integration DVP definition & test specification Component inspection, failure and root cause analysis NVH experience beneficia Data manipulation & interpretation Technical report & presentation writing Awareness of customer & commercial requirements

Your Skills and Experience:

Considerable relevant experience in the field of automotive development engineering Experience of engineering preferably gained within an automotive environment Essential, a high level of computer literacy Essential, knowledge of general engineering fundamentals Essential, good communication and presentation skills Essential, good data analysis skills Essential, report writing and time management skills Essential, technical presentation skills Highly desirable, knowledge of automotive electrification technologies (eMotors and Batteries) Desirable, experience with AVL Converto, MATLAB and MS Office Knowledge and working experience of quality systems and procedures is advantageous German language skills, advantageous not essential Able to supervise the work of others
