About therole

  • You will beworking as part of an established team of flow cytometryspecialists providing flow cytometric cell analysis as well assorting services to our researchers.
  • As anAdvanced Research Assistant you will be responsiblefor:
  • Daytoday operation and maintenance of flowcytometers.
  • Training and supporting othermembers of staff/researchers in the use of theequipment.
  • Providing technical support for thefacility
  • Carrying out essential quality controlprocedures andtroubleshooting.


Aboutyou

  • To excel in thisrole you should have the following:
  • BSc inBiological Sciences with 13 years of relevant laboratoryexperience
  • Practical experience working withcell analysers and sorters
  • Practical experiencewith maintaining and troubleshooting flowcytometers
  • Detailed knowledge of flow cytometryapplications with a focus on technicalexpertise
  • Longterm interest in instrumentationand biological sciences
  • Experience with usingflow cytometry data analysis software (eg. FCS Express Flowjoetc.)
  • Experience with training others in theuse of flow cytometer
  • A working knowledge ofcytometric protocols or other laboratory techniques (immunology)with an emphasis oninstrumentation
