Senior Data Scientist

You will be responsiblefor:

Independently manage and leadmachine learning research projects and write outcomes in ascientific publication for submission to journals or machinelearning conferences (ICLR ICML CVPRetc).

Collaborate with team members proposedevelop and evaluate new machine learning models that enableunderstanding singlecell data and its application in drugdiscovery.

Work with Ph.D. students and postdocsin collaborating teams on developing solutions forinterdisciplinary scientific problems in biology providingsupervision and training to junior members of theteam.

Contribute to writing scientific papers onbiotechnology and biology.

Distill your developedsolutions into opensource and easytoinstall packages withdocumentation that facilitates the usage of your solution fordownstream users including biologists andbioinformaticians.

Present your research andanalysis pipelines to internal and externalaudiences.

EssentialSkills

• To besuccessful in the Senior Data Scientist role you will have thefollowing:
• Ph.D. or MS.c with equivalentresearch experience in a relevant quantitative discipline (e.g.Computer Science Computational Biology Genetics BioinformaticsPhysics Engineering or Applied Statistics/Mathematics)
• Proven experience using advanced statistical techniquesmachine learning and modern deep learning techniques.
• Previous ML work experience in scientific/academicenvironment (RA/Internships are considered as workexperience)
• Strong knowledge of Pythonincluding core data science libraries such as ScikitLearn SciPyTensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Knowledge of softwaredevelopment good practices and collaboration tools includinggitbased version control python package management and codereviews.
• Excellent communication skills withthe ability to explain complex machine learning algorithms andstatistical methods to nontechnical stakeholders.
• Evidence of related work experience as a researcher inthe area of Machine learning
• Strongpublication record first author positionideal
