What We’re Looking For:

The Programme Director I is a remote position in the UK. This position drives operational strategy and priorities in order to ensure business KPIs are successfully met for their assigned programme portfolio. The Programme Director serves as the primary consultant for internal and external stakeholders in matters related to workflow, processes, integration, and strategic operational initiatives. This is a client-facing role that requires the ability to balance multiple projects, priorities, and details while cultivating a trusted relationship with the university partner and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

Stakeholder Management

Effectively build and own partner relationships at the Assistant Dean level and below, as well as other leadership at and across the school to ensure programme success and drive strategic operational prioritiesEffectively build and own internal relationships at the Sr. Manager level and below Effectively matrix-manage a cross-functional team to ensure programme success and drive strategic operational priorities

Support Programme Growth and/or Overall Efficiency

Manage internal and external stakeholders to implement the GM’s strategic vision for programme successIdentify opportunities for improvement and efficiency within the programmesThink creatively and drive initiatives from inception to implementationEffectively communicate all relevant information to various stakeholders within 2U and with the schoolUnderstand complex programmes, processes and organizational structures and be able to function effectively within them

Process Development and Improvement

Think critically and strategically about current processes, systems and relationships and identify possible issues before they become problematicManage and create workflow, processes and documentation between systems and groupsEnsure scalability and alignment of best practices in recommended changes

Project Management

Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business priorities – update and adapt to changes as neededSet, continually manage and communicate project expectations within teamPrioritize requests and escalate as appropriate to senior managementProactively identify, troubleshoot, and communicate problem areasIdentify and implement recommendations as a result of lessons-learned

Reporting, Budgeting & Revenue/Invoice Reconciliation

Perform data analysis and compilation for tracking and reporting purposesCompile various reports, PPT’s and other materials for reporting programme information to various stakeholders, with attention given to ensuring materials are reflective of the appropriate audiencePerform on-time financial reconciliation for assigned programmes in accordance with contract stipulations, ensuring revenue collection in the appropriate quarterHandle or delegate additional operational and administrative tasks as needed

Bachelors degree required6-8 years experience, with roles in operations, project, or programme managementProven track record in creative problem-solvingStrong relationship management skillsStrong project management skillsCompletion of Unconscious Bias and Allyship trainingsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, Drive)Advanced Beginner in Salesforce, Lucid Chart (or similar)

Working Conditions 

This role typically works 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM with breaks throughout the day. Occasional and rare travel may be needed.

This role will primarily be sedentary using a computer, keyboard, and telephone to perform most duties.
