Hale Country Club & Spa is recruiting for a full-time Senior Sous Chef to join our team. PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Running shiftsEnsures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organised for quality assuranceWorks with head chef to maintain kitchen organisation, staff ability, and training opportunitiesLeads kitchen team in head chef’s absenceTo adhere to health & safety policiesInvention of new & innovative menu ideasEnsuring the cleanliness standards are keptManage a clean and efficient kitchen departmentCost ManagementPlan the day to day running of all sections of the kitchen effectively to meet the service standardsEnsure producing food on time, consistently and accuratelyManage rotas in accordance to business levelsFollow recipes and presentation specificationsStock RotationManage and maintain a clean, safe working environment.

The successful applicant will have/be:

Previous experience in a busy kitchen environment in a similar roleGreat attitude towards work & colleagues Desire to learn new skills & passion for food Ability to track expenses and manage a budgetExcellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes.Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.Knowledge of best cooking practices and understanding of trends and new styles.Attention to detail and high standards of presentation, creative flair and imaginationExperience working in a diverse environmentGood communication skillsTeam-working skillsSelf-motivated
