Job summary

The post holderwill be required to have good organisation and communication skills, with aworking knowledge of Microsoft office applications, such as Word, Excel and MS Teams.

The ability toplan and organise own workload is a must, as a minimum of 2 working days perweek will be office based.

Full training willbe given on the NHS Standard Contract.

Main duties of the job

Working in amatrixed way, the post holder will provide administrative support to theProgramme Lead Contracting and Delivery, the Director of Financial transformation(Barnsley) and the wider Contracting function across South Yorkshire.

Job responsibilities

Utilisinga holistic approach and good knowledge of Health and care services, the abilityto inform and influence system changes is a must.

Supportthe development of transformation and delivery programmes, the post holder willbe expected to review and analyse data to inform areas of future focus andimprovement.

The post holder will work collaboratively withpartners and ensure effective and adaptative contract mechanisms are in place inline with national requirements

Thepost holder is expected to communicate information, risks, issues and inter- dependencies,including briefings to all relevant partners using negotiating and persuadingskills. Being able to analyse data specific to health inequalities to inform servicetransformation.

Essential

Experience and understanding of evaluating and measuring the performance of health services, including specialist knowledge of NHS Standard contract management and innovative contractual approaches

Previous experience in similar role in public sector

A good understanding of the health and social care environment and roles and responsibilities within it. Ability to analyse and interpret complex information, pre-empt and evaluate issues, and recommend an appropriate course of action to address the issues Skills for managing complex projects ensuring they meet financial targets.
