We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive Pharmacist for input to individual GP Practices, Community Hospitals and other care settings within the Cowal and Bute locality. This role will involve working with a variety of different health care professionals across primary and secondary care to support and improve patient care.

Job roles will include:

Providing a safe and effective clinical pharmacy service and pharmaceutical input to ensure high quality, safe, evidence-based, rational, legal and cost-effective prescribing and medicines management in line with current legislation, local and national guidelines. Work as a key member of GP practice and other multidisciplinary teams. Support the delivery of strategic and operational prescribing priorities. Provide education, advice and support to multidisciplinary teams on medicine and prescribing related topics. Undertakes teaching, supervision of foundation training year (pre-reg) pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy support workers and students.

Full training will be provided and further development opportunities within the team will be available over time.
The post will involve travelling to a number of locations so a full, current driving licence and use of own car for work purposes is essential.
