NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team as a Senior Quality Assurance Pharmacist at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the department's Pharmaceutical Quality Systems (PQS) with a focus on PET radiopharmaceuticals.
- Support the radiopharmacy team with day-to-day operations, including dispensing and quality control of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.
- Perform autologous radio-cell labellings and support the provision of an in-vitro laboratory service.
- Act as an IR(ME)R Entitled Authorised Pharmacist and deputise for the accountable pharmacist in their absence.
- Masters degree in pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmacy Council (GPhC).
- Postgraduate Diploma/MSc or equivalent advanced professional practice knowledge, training, and experience.
- Flexible approach to work and availability to start at 07:00.
- 37 hours per week over a 5-day week, with no on-call or weekend working.
- Opportunity to expand knowledge in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, tracer radiolabelling, and radiopharmaceutical quality control techniques.
- Development of leadership skills and contribution to the smooth running of our comprehensive clinical Radiopharmacy service.
- Support for the Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance (PTQA) diploma (subject to availability of spaces on the course).
