Job summary

Responsible for providing a PA and Booking service for our consultants, includes diary management and theatre bookings.

Maintaining high standards, providing quality service to our consultants and patients.

Being able to use your own initiative and work without supervision but meeting tight deadlines.

Main duties of the job

Be a main point of contact for the Consultants, having full knowledge of specialty processes, or know where to resource help or to find answers. Liaising and negotiating on a daily basis with both Taunton Nuffield, Staplegrove Anaesthetics and this Trust ensuring the private patient pathway is followed. Liaising with theatre management teams to establish vacant theatre lists and negotiate to pick up for private patient use. Provide effective communication between Clinicians, General Practitioners, multidisciplinary teams, patients, managers and all necessary internal & external contacts to achieve an excellent and smooth patient pathway. Liaising with insurance companies, obtaining authorisation numbers, writing medical reports, producing and submitting invoices ensuring correct tariffs are used.
