Job summary

CNTW Bank operates to provide ad hoc, flexible or short term cover for medical locum shifts. Applications are welcomed from doctors to work on an ad-hoc basis in Psychiatry. Workers may be deployed across a variety of services in a wide range of specialities and may be asked to work at any of the Trust's sites, sometimes at short notice.

You will be paid at the rate of £40 per hour (FY2-CT3) or £50 per hour (ST4+). Please note that this figure has not been determined with reference to any nationally agreed terms and conditions of service. Hourly rates may be varied from time to time. You will be informed in writing of any changes to hourly rates as applicable.

The agreement between a bank worker and Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, (the 'Trust') does not constitute a contract of employment.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit suitably qualified doctors to work across all grades for work on an ad-hoc basis with evening, weekend and on-call shifts available. Duties will vary depending on applicant grade and shifts accepted. Further information can be provided at interview.

The successful candidate will have MBBS or equivalent (essential), should be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) or be eligible to become registered and also have psychiatry experience within the NHS.

Due to the nature of this bank role, we are unable to meet the UKVI Skilled Worked criteria and therefore unable to provide sponsorship for Right to Work within the UK.

We can not sponsor GMC for this role.
