Our Junior Clinical Fellow programme includes posts with the exciting opportunity to have 20% of time dedicated to a specialist interest. The specialist interest posts include Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine, Point of Care Ultrasound, and Paediatric Emergency Medicine. See more information below. Whilst working in Emergency Medicine, you will join a team of 27 consultants, 4 specialty doctors, 18 middle grades, 28 junior doctors, 7 ACPs and over 100 nurses working in the Emergency Department.

This post involves a full shift system, involving nights and weekend work. Your primary responsibility will include delivering care to the full spectrum of patients that attend the emergency department and on shift clinical supervision of junior members of the team. You will be a key component of the trauma team and will have the chance to act as the Trauma Team Leader (with supervision). You will use and develop your emergency care skills to resuscitate the most critically unwell patients.

Middle grade doctors in the Emergency Department are supported by resident on-call ED Consultants 24/7.
