Whitstable, United Kingdom Superior Healthcare Full time

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse who supports patients in the community with complex health needs? Can you manage a tracheostomy and assist clients who require non-invasive ventilation?

If you’re looking for continuity in your community role, this opportunity is for you

Rapid Response Nurse:

Working as a rapid response nurse within the complex care team at Superior Healthcare, you will be clinically supporting our clients in their own homes when their regular team members are unable to support them.

You will work with clients with a wide variety of life-limiting conditions, including conditions from birth, degenerative conditions, spinal injuries and brain injuries, as well as those requiring interventions such as ventilations, gastrostomy and bowel management.

You will work night shifts on weekdays and weekends, following a 2-week rota averaging 35 hours per week.

As well as directly supporting the clients, you may find yourself assisting with the training and induction of Healthcare Support Workers or Nurses to provide a greater level of support and contingency for the clients that we support.

• £55,524 per annum based on working 35 hours per week.

• Milage reimbursed if you drive beyond 20 miles from home.

• 20% increase in the hourly rate for overtime nurse shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend CPD events and reflect on your practice regularly in line with NMC guidelines/revalidation requirements.
  • Deliver exceptional and person-centred care according to care plans, best practice guidelines, and company policies.
  • Advocate for clients’ best interests while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures, report concerns promptly and complete any relevant documentation.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines and infection control measures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining quality care delivery standards.
  • Support new members of the team on shift and guide them through the client’s care plan, regular tasks, and important information.

Benefits:

  • 25 days Annual Leave, plus bank holidays.
  • An extra day off on your birthday.
  • Enhanced sick pay.
  • Blue Light Discount Card.
  • Pension contributions.
  • Frequent social events.
  • Excellent career development opportunities.
  • Employee Assistance Programme, offering up to 6 face-to-face counselling sessions.
  • Christmas Saver scheme.
  • Refer a Friend Scheme.
  • Designated Wellbeing Team.
  • Employee events throughout the year, including Monthly Breakfast Club, May Wellbeing Week, Summer BBQ and Christmas Party.
  • Support with own development including NVQ and management qualifications.

About Superior Healthcare:
Superior Healthcare was established in response to our founders’ personal experience of caring for a family member who has an acquired brain injury.

Today we work as a specialist provider in complex care at home, with a full nurse-led service, providing care for children, young people and adults who have long-term health conditions. For us, it’s personal.

We are passionate about the progression and development of our teams, and due to the growth of our organisation, we are offering this exciting opportunity to join our Kent Complex Care team as a Community Rapid Response Nurse, supporting clients at night.

Superior Healthcare is an Equal Opportunities Employer (agy). Registration is subject to Enhanced DBS check and references.

If you’d like to discuss your application before applying or find out more about the role, please contact RebeccaDuran@superiorhealthcare.co.uk
