About Our Client

Reporting to the ICT Portfolio Manager, you will support a new GIS program and related initiatives by developing business process maps, data models, business and technical requirements. This is an opportunity to be part of foundational work to enable best practice spatial and digital delivery across the Council. Previous experience as a Business Analyst delivering spatial/GIS projects is a requirement.

Job Description
  • Over 10 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering spatial and asset projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex business concepts in technical language.
  • IIBA BABOK certified, BPMN, UML,
  • Degree qualified or comparable experience
  • Experience with process mapping software, such as Signavio, Promapp, Blueworks, Visio.
The Successful Applicant
  • Understands spatial concepts, Cadastre, 3D, GDA2020, survey, as design and construct.
  • Experience working in Agile environment.
  • Process mapping utilising BPMN tools adhering to methodology (desirable: Lean Six Sigma process mapping.
  • Experience in value stream mapping, implementing process improvements/optimising workflows, defining the optimum 'to-be' state.
  • Experience implementing/enabling spatial systems (MapInfo, Geocortex, Esri, Hexagon, Oracle spatial).
  • Expertise in spatial and asset management concepts, preferably implementations with Esri products. Experience designing and building spatial platforms, UX, desktop spatial tools.
  • Understanding of FME Workbenches and concepts Experience with Oracle Spatial Database design, SQL
