About the Role
Reporting into Financial Accounting and External Reporting Lead you will be responsible for the effective control of financial ledgers and financial transactions, including general ledger & asset accounting. You will manage a team of finance specialists (3 middle managers and 3 admin FTEs).


You will also:
• Ensure financial accounting and balance sheet governance for RMG adheres to Group policy and Statutory/Regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
• Lead in the production of financial accounts which are accurate and completed to critical timescales.
• Establish and maintain positive, productive relationships with key business stakeholders and Group Finance, providing independent challenge where appropriate.
• Manage the team relationship with the external auditors and internal controls team for controls audit, year-end statutory audit and all enquiries arising. 
• Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and asset modules through the execution of appropriate processes and controls. 
• Own the integrity of balance sheets including managing the reconciliation process and producing schedules to support the review of balance sheets by FDs


About You
To truly excel in this role, you’ll possess, and be able to evidence, the skills and experience listed below:

• Fully or part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Good understanding of financial accounting principles
• Strong Excel skills
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
• A continuous improvement mindset – a desire to improve processes and make efficiencies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to articulate with colleagues and customers at all levels
