**Overview**

2fawcett have an exciting opportunity for an experienced **Finance Officer** to join a prestigious company located in Chesterfield on a part-time basis.

The role will be Monday to Friday 24 hours per week. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join a small, but friendly and perfectly set up team. Our client prides themselves on providing top quality service and because of their year on year growth and busy office, every day will be different. You will be working closely with the Finance Director, General Manager and Development Officer on a day-to-day basis.

The Role & Responsibilities of the **Finance Officer**
- Receipt and reconciliation of cash from receipts, fees, social events and other income
- Ensuring approved payments are made to suppliers, creditors and others in an efficient and timely manner
- Review and collection of unpaid Direct Debit collections
- Managing the accounting system (Xero)
- Production of month end reports
- VAT analysis and payment
- Maintenance of timesheets and payroll
- Preparation of bank credits
- Ledger entry
- Ensuring contractual arrangements are calendarised
- Upkeeping of office filing systems

Requirements of the **Finance Officer**
- XERO experience
- Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Understanding of purchase/sales ledger
- Attention to detail
- Full or part AAT qualification is desirable
