About The Role

Location: Aberdeen

Salary £12.24 per hour / £25,546.65 per annum Working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday Full PPE provided

What will I be doing?

You will carry out duties individually, or as a member of a team, for operations to control, transfer and stockpile waste & recyclables at a busy material transfer station. 

The role will involve:

Operating mobile and fixed plant, including cleaning and maintenance of equipment.  Managing traffic, such as guiding tipping vehicles. Operate the weighbridge and accurately record the weight and other specified details of vehicles both entering and leaving the site. Co-operating directly with customers and members of the public, providing excellent customer service. Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role, including undertaking first aider / fire safety duties on site.

What are the requirements?

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to obtain a working knowledge of the site licence / permit system and who will work to ensure site operations meet the standards required. You'll need a flexible approach, working in a challenging environment, expected to provide cover for annual leave and on occasion to help cover weekends, as well as:

Operational experience and current licences for loading shovel, 360 tele-handler and forkliftYou'll have the opportunity to undertake personal development to obtain skills for waste acceptance, maintenance of site equipment, infrastructure and operation of site machinery. Prior waste / recycling or similar process environment highly advantageous Excellent understanding and approach to health & safety Good IT skills.
