WHAT TO EXPECT

Product Compliance has the responsibility to ensure that the vehicles manufactured by JLR are compliant with all global regulatory requirements and safety legislation to allow the sale of our products.

You’ll lead the test and facilities transformation activities within the emissions test facility at Solihull and have direct supervision of a Test Facility Engineer who is responsible for the planned and unplanned maintenance.

This role involves taking the lead on improvement activities on the hardware, software and processes used within the test facility, and includes procurement of new equipment from concept through to operational handover, development and optimisation of test processes and tools, maintenance of current test capability, deployment of future test capability and strategy, obsolescence management and contractor management. 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Procurement of new equipment from concept through to operational handover Maintenance of technical data and facility documentation ensuring audit readiness, and of current test capability and deployment of future test capability strategy Support internal and external audits with respect to all aspects of the test facility Oversee fault rectification and remedial actions to ensure unplanned test facility downtime is minimised Lead the digital enablement of the test facility in line with the strategic plan

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Excellent understanding of emissions testing, test facilities, data acquisition, test processes and regulations Broad understanding of test processes, facilities, instrumentation, tools and techniques used for regulatory emissions testing Project management and procurement processes Maintenance of technical data and facility documentation ensuring audit readiness  Problem solving
