The Role:
In the capacity of Lead Risk Strategy Analyst, you will oversee the deployment, evaluation, and upkeep of credit risk strategies within our Decision Systems and operational frameworks, collaborating closely with the pertinent Risk teams.
This position also entails supporting various business initiatives, including the introduction of innovative products, modifications in Credit Bureau reporting, and adherence to FCA and other regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivating and maintaining in-depth knowledge of our decision system engines, their constraints, and the associated governance.
- Executing modifications within our multi-bureau hub, which encompasses requirements gathering, managing changes with credit reference agencies, development, testing, implementation, post-implementation monitoring, communication, and documentation.
- Implementing application and scoring strategies/policies within our decision engine systems, specifically Scorecard Admin, Diligense, and Catalyst systems. This process involves analysis, UAT, implementation, post-implementation monitoring, communication, and documentation.
- Ensuring the validation of exception reports for monitoring decision engines.
- Guaranteeing that relevant control/governance programs are applicable throughout every change executed in the system.
- Maintaining operational links to Credit bureaus.
In instances of anticipated or encountered issues, liaise with internal IT and the Credit bureau to ensure swift resolution, minimizing impact on consumers and the business.
Skills & Attributes:
- Proficient in Excel
- Ability to independently code in at least one programming language such as SAS and SQL
- Exceptional analytical capabilities
- Understanding of risk decision systems
- Familiarity with Credit bureau data
- Practical experience with Decision Systems such as Probe, Strategy Manager, StrategyWare, Triad, NBSM
- Experience working with Credit bureau data and services
