Job Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst - Strategy & Performance to join our team based in Solihull, working closely with strategy, decarbonisation, operational, and commercial managers to develop and improve our processes, supporting our overall sustainability performance.

This exciting role will involve taking a leading role in embedding business analysis practices, compiling and reporting information and data to measure business performance, and providing expert guidance to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain reporting standards for sustainability performance, ensuring robust procedures and reporting standards.
  • Implement effective data quality and assurance methodologies to ensure completeness, accuracy, and traceability, supporting internal and external audit compliance.
  • Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate data and reporting requirements, creating outputs that meet their needs.
  • Create informative reporting dashboards and implement innovative data visualisation to support and drive insight for effective performance communication to all levels of the business.
  • Support compliance with regulatory and business reporting schemes to ensure the business maintains its license to operate.
  • Support the development and implementation of training programmes to BU teams to improve compliance.

Requirements

  • Proven knowledge, skills, and experience of managing and delivering insight into complex performance data.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with a high level of analytical ability, attention to detail, and the capability to tackle complex data challenges.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using a wide range of software and tools, ideally including Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Power Query.
  • Track record of development, implementation, and delivery of business data insights through visualisation tools and experience in identifying new and informative ways to share data insights.
  • Experience in implementing, maintaining, and improving data quality standards and processes to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey insights and information simply and clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously, plan, manage, and co-ordinate multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and develop relationships and networks.
  • Flexible and keen to take on and learn new tasks and skills.
  • Energetic, passionate, driven, and customer-focused.
