Job summary
Whitlingham Ward, a female Blended Secure inpatient rehabilitation ward, requires a dedicated and flexible administrator to support the medical and nursing services it provides as part of NSFT's Secure & Forensic Services based at Justin Gardener house, Hellesdon Hospital.
The role primarily involves the provision of administrative support to the Consultant Psychiatrists in the form of typing, organisation and minuting of clinical meetings, maintenance of records and regular liaison with external stakeholders such as other healthcare providers and the Ministry of Justice. There will be also be significant engagement with the whole eclectic and interesting Ward team
Candidates must have a very good standard of written English, display excellent attention to detail and have an ability to communicate clearly to a wide range of people.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties:
Organisation of Care Programme Approach (CPA) meetings. Minuting of CPA meetings and ward rounds. Audio typing. Liaison with other teams and departments regarding admissions, transfers and discharges. Scanning of handwritten forms / assessments into the Electronic Patient Record (Lorenzo).In addition the role will include:
Engaging with clinical staff in the ward's Quality Improvement projects.Preferably candidates will have at least one year of recent administration experience. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential and applicants will ideally have attained RSA II typing qualifications, ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) or equivalent. Time management skills are needed in order to organise own workload and cope with shifting priorities and deadlines.
