Job summary

RHA has an excitingopportunity for an experienced and driven individual to join our organisationto support our local primary care networks and take on the role of Digital TransformationLead.

The postholder will be a key member of the team and the role will include supporting ourmember practices to deliver the strategic and operational aims of the PCN.

The post-holderwill be expected to develop and establish strong collaborative relationshipswith practices and all stakeholders. Internally these include, practice membersof the PCN and RHA and, externally, the CCG, and most importantly, the PCN patients.

As therole of Primary Care Networks, within the NHS, develops it is envisaged thatthe demands and requirements of the post will increase over time.

Main duties of the job

To play a pivotalrole in the delivery of high quality primary health care within the PrimaryCare Network (PCN).

Support the PCNClinical Director and the member practices to ensure the smooth running of thePCN.

To support the dayto day management of the PCN.

To support theproduction of performance and quality reports within the PCN and other Networkinitiatives, liaising with other stakeholders as required.

About us

Rochdale Health Alliance is a GP federation, which is a group of general practices forming an organisational entity and working together, within the local health economy and share responsibility for the delivery of high quality, NHS patient-focussed services for its communities.

GP practices across the Rochdale borough, who have historically worked independently, have come together to work in a federated model to improve healthcare across the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale (HMR) neighbourhoods.

Rochdale Health Alliance (RHA) was established in 2016, byGP practicesfrom across the Rochdale Borough, to streamline the way in which services are delivered and to contribute to the development of the wider health and social care provision across the Borough.

Bury Primary Care Network has recently joined RHA.

Retaining their own identity and autonomy, general practitioner (GP) practices will work together and support community and hospital services, including the public and voluntary sector, to ensure healthcare is coordinated for the residents of the Rochdale borough.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

First point ofcontact for PCN Practice Managers regarding delivery of PCN projects/schemes.

Co-ordinate thedelivery of enhanced services and other service submissions on behalf of thePCN.

Support the inductionof new PCN staff.

Management andadministrative support of monthly meetings, including organising and takingminutes.

Management/Co-ordinationof the ARRS Rota for PCN staff

Recording andmanagement of holiday and sickness of PCN staff.

Provide project managementsupport for new and existing opportunities

Finance:

To monitor and checkthe accuracy of submissions for Enhanced Services on behalf of the PCN andensure that all claims are submitted on a monthly and quarterly basis andpayment made and received.

Liaise with the RHAFinance team to monitor PCN expenditure and identifying significant deviationsfrom plan.

Organisational:

To oversee theadministration of PCN.

Support the PCNClinical Director to develop strategic and operational planning processes tosupport the PCNs objectives.

Support PCN ClinicalDirector with writing business and development plans as required.

IM&T

Ensure PCNs compliance with the GDPR and FOI alongwith other relevant legislation and professional information managementstandards such as GMC/BMA and LMC guidance.

Welfare:

Organise PCN events

WorkingRelationships: to work as a flexible member of the PCN, providing support toother team members when necessary.

To take an activerole in the development and embedding of PCNs culture, values and reputationas providers of high-quality services.

Encourage supportingstaff to collaborate through sharing information and intelligence acrossdifferent activities.

Qualifications

Essential

Degree or equivalent level education OR ability to demonstrate competency at this level

Desirable

Project Management Certificate (Quality Service Improvement and Redesign (QSIR) or Prince 2)

Experience

Essential

Demonstrable experience of general practice and primary care Demonstrable experience in successfully supporting delivery of new initiatives Knowledge of budget management Experience of developing and managing relationships with a variety of clients, stakeholders

Desirable

Significant and demonstrable management experience in the NHS Experience of increasing participation in an initiative through communication and engagement. Local knowledge
