JOB PURPOSE

The proactive development of knowledge, relationships and influence over our selected Major Projects throughout the UK. A highly autonomous role with the focus on business development.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This is an important role within GRS, with primary responsibility to:


  • Promoting and maintaining an on-going dialogue with the Director/s and other key team members to ensure full commitment to the strategic business development of the Major Projects division.
  • Work on the targeted major projects to create a strategy to maximise our involvement
  • Develop relationships with key personnel on proposed projects and help create a GRS solution.
  • Understand how we can use all / any function within the GRS Group to increase sales / turnover.
  • Partner with internal GRS teams to identify and develop solutions within our
  • Developing initiatives with Suppliers, Customers and Clients to build long term business relationships that maximise sales revenue and achieve overall business targets.
  • Developing and implementing a coherent sales and marketing plan to achieve targeted growth in line with the wider business strategy and commercial teams.
  • Creating innovative ways to promote our business to new and existing customer base.
  • New lead generation and appointment setting.
  • Ensuring that strong partnerships are made/maintained and further developed with key clients/customers.
  • Participating in commercial and strategy team meetings.
  • Any other ad hoc tasks as required by the director/s as required.


KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB


  • Experience with managing customer accounts (Essential).
  • Previous experience with the construction / building materials industry (Desirable).
  • Must have a full UK Driving License (Essential).
