Job Title: Accounts Clerk

Location: Worcester WR4

Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum

Hours: 09:00am – 17:00pm – 30 minutes lunch

 

As an Accounts Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department by maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth processing of transactions. Your responsibilities will include handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling financial discrepancies, and assisting with various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • To support the Finance team with Accounts Payable, dealing with enquiries and tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • To share responsibility for Accounts Receivable and to ensure that daily communications are monitored and answered.
  • To oversee general cash management, including banking and related queries, ensuring that amounts and records are correct.
  • Undertaking administrative support to Management Accountants and clerical tasks to support where appropriate.
  • Recording and filing cash transactions
  • Assisting with month-end processes where appropriate.
  • You will be the first point of contact for all related enquiries.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

 

Requirements

  • Understanding of financial systems and processes.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and make recommendations.
  • Good IT skills and ability to work with multiple systems.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude towards problem solving.
  • Previous experience in Accounts is highly desirable.
