We're looking for an NPD Process Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to join our leading cake manufacturing business. With a focus on the launch and process side of NPD, you'll play a key role in ensuring our delicious creations make it from the development kitchen to the store shelves seamlessly.


We are a trusted supplier to all the major UK food retailers, and in this role, you'll have the exciting opportunity to work with one of the country's most high-end food retailers. The successful candidate will be someone who can balance a commercial mindset with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring every product meets the highest standards while aligning with retailer expectations.


Managing product trials and launches, this role requires flexibility and a can-do attitude.

The role of NPD Process Manager at BBF

        Manage the full NPD process from concept handover to product launch, ensuring smooth transition and scale-up in production.

        Collaborate closely with internal teams (NPD, production, quality, and technical) and the retailer to ensure all products meet high standards.

        Oversee factory trials and first production runs to ensure product consistency and quality.

        Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the production process to ensure deadlines are met.

        Ensure all products are delivered within budget and align with customer expectations and technical specifications.

        Maintain strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and retail partners, ensuring clear communication at all stages.

        Continuously improve NPD processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Our team of experts develop and manufacture a wide range of high-quality ambient cake products across several different categories including celebration cakes, mini rolls, mince pies, fruit pies and a wide range of chilled desserts including cheesecake, crumbles and sponge cakes. These include mince pies, celebration cakes, slab cakes, cupcakes and many more
